The Sacramento SPCA team arrived one morning to find a surprise: a mother dog and her 10 puppies alone and without food or water. Thanks to their mother, they had all survived this far. But this family needed a lot of help.
The dog was abandoned on the doorstep of the Sacramento SPCA along with her 10 newborn puppies. All signs indicated that they were abandoned just moments after birth.
And they had no food or water.
The mother was not tied and could have walked away at any moment, but her maternal instincts kept her by her cubs’ side.
The shelter was happy to have the family in their care, but the foster situation made them nervous, as the puppies were too young to be separated from their mother.
But someone was willing to take in the whole family! The foster dad gave mom a nice comfortable place to nurse her babies and keep them warm.
Even after everything she had been through, this mom was so sweet and allowed her puppies to be cared for. Mom and the puppies would stay with their foster for a few months until they were adopted into a forever home.
Meanwhile, the foster daddy continued to take care of them and have some fun, posting their photos on social media!
How someone could just abandon this family right after birth, I will never understand.
But thanks to their mom, Sacramento SPCA, and foster dad, they are now safe and sound with a bright future ahead of them!
To have animals you need space. A big yard. Have patience, time. And a lot of love. And time to take care of them.
Human beings… Thank GOD, not all are like that, there are many who save! That’s why I always have hope!
And they left them in a good place, where they could be taken care of. The mother and the puppies are beautiful. God bless everyone involved… And may they all have loving and caring homes.
