Four years ago, Cole Prochaska weighed over 585 pounds — the highest his scale could measure. Now 41, after trading a 5,000-calorie daily diet for daily walks, he’s lost about 360 pounds and transformed his life.

Cole’s struggle with weight began in childhood. His overeating habits included several bags of chips and a 12-pack of soda a day, plus large fast-food meals. He lived a sedentary lifestyle and felt isolated and self-conscious, avoiding social situations.
When his seven-year relationship ended, Cole decided to change for himself. Starting with short walks, he gradually built up to 10,000 steps a day and overhauled his diet, focusing on high-protein meals and cutting out sweets and sugary drinks. He also began gym workouts to build muscle and boost energy.

By 2023, Cole proudly shared his progress but remains self-conscious due to excess skin from his weight loss. He has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $100,000 for skin removal surgery, having raised over $81,000 so far.
Despite challenges, Cole’s story inspires many online. He recently traveled to California to consult a plastic surgeon and hopes to have surgery within months. Cole credits his success to determination and hard work rather than quick fixes or surgery.
His message: “Keep going, keep walking… You can do it. I’m living proof.”
