My Brother’s Bride Was My Worst Nightmare from Childhood

Posted on August 1, 2025

When my brother announced he was marrying Nancy, my stomach dropped. She wasn’t just any girl — she was the one who made my school years miserable. At his engagement party, Nancy greeted me with a sugary smile and whispered insults only I could hear. She hadn’t changed at all. My brother thought she was perfect, but I knew the truth.

Then I remembered her biggest secret: her lifelong fear of butterflies. So for her wedding gift, I arranged a box filled with two hundred live butterflies to be delivered to their home.

That night, Nancy opened it indoors and the room exploded with fluttering wings. Her polished smile shattered as she screamed and broke down in terror.

The next morning, my brother called, furious. I cut him off: “Now you know what she put me through all those years. She didn’t change she’s still the same bully.” I never heard from Nancy again. For the first time in years, I finally slept peacefully.
