The morning began like any other on the quiet Texas ranch, with cool air drifting through the fields and the soft sounds of animals waking with the sunrise. I was finishing my routine when I noticed a small figure standing near the barn. A young girl, no more than seven years old, stood there holding an empty baby bottle.
She looked exhausted but determined, her voice trembling as she asked if I had any milk for her baby brother. I brought them back to the ranch, where my wife and I made sure they were safe, warm, and comfortable. The doctor confirmed what we already suspected—the baby needed nourishment, and the girl was exhausted but had done an incredible job caring for him.
