Milan’s Montenapoleone Becomes the World’s Most Expensive Shopping Street

New York:For a long time, New York’s Upper Fifth Avenue held the title of the world’s most expensive shopping avenue. However, recently, Montenapoleone, a prestigious shopping street in Milan, Italy, has claimed this distinction.

According to an international news agency, the American firm Cushman & Wakefield annually publishes a Global Index that ranks the most expensive shopping areas worldwide based on the latest rental prices. For several years, New York’s Fifth Avenue remained at the top among 138 major retail locations. However, last year, Montenapoleone surpassed it, taking the lead.

Montenapoleone is a renowned luxury shopping street in Milan, attracting not only tourists for window shopping but also some of the wealthiest individuals from around the world. Many affluent shoppers here spend at least $2,600 per purchase, making it one of the highest average spending destinations globally.
