Ex South Park Writer’s Satirical Move to Send Barron Trump to the Military

Posted on March 9, 2026

Rising Tensions in the Middle East Spark Online Humor Antics

In recent days, tensions have soared in the Middle East following a series of missile and drone clashes. This tumultuous chain of events kicked off with a significant Israeli assault aimed at Iran’s top officials. Unfortunately, this offensive reportedly claimed the lives of several key Iranian figures, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s long-standing leader. In swift revenge, Iran launched ballistic missiles and explosive drones targeting Israel and US allies in the Gulf, creating a precarious and dangerous situation.

Amid this growing turmoil, where American army personnel have also suffered casualties, an interesting online trend surfaced — one laden with dark humor. The tongue-in-cheek hashtag #SendBarron started trending on social platforms, humorously proposing who should be dispatched to the frontline.

The Viral and Comical Proposal: Drafting Barron Trump

The trend picked up momentum after unsettling news that a number of US soldiers had perished in an Iranian drone attack on a command post located in Kuwait. In a creative twist of satire, Toby Morton, a former writer for South Park, unveiled a website mockingly titled DraftBarronTrump.com, suggesting that Barron Trump, the President’s tall young son, should be deployed to the front lines as part of a fictitious mission dubbed “Operation Epic Fury.”

This satirical platform presents hyper-patriotic rhetoric, jesting that America’s potency stems from robust leaders, implying Barron Trump is primed to protect the nation run by his father. With light-hearted jesting, the site applauds the “inherited strength and courage” within the Trump lineage, humorously concluding with “Dog Bless Barron.”

The joke also nods to Donald Trump’s own military service avoidance during the Vietnam era due to medical deferment — specifically citing bone spurs. The website wittily claims that for “proven genetics and bravery,” citizens should look no further than the Trumps.

Imagining Barron in Witty Scenarios

Indeed, the campaign’s essence lies purely in satire with no real intent. The site amusingly imagines Barron’s considerable height of 6 feet 9 inches as a tactical advantage in combat. In one cheeky scenario, Barron is pitched in a face-off akin to ancient dueling battles, proposed as a way to settle conflicts.

In this fictitious event, Barron may find himself up against Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Iran’s former supreme leader and probable successor. Barron, a 19-year-old NYU student towering over at 6’9″, would hypothetically eclipse Mojtaba, who stands around 5’10” and is an elder by over 30 years.

Behind the satire, the real conflict’s grim reality remains. Tragically, a minimum of six US troopers lost their lives due to an Iranian drone’s impact on a US command facility situated in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait. The attack reportedly took place around 9 a.m. local time, catching many off guard, with parts of the building left ablaze for hours.

The Pentagon has recognized four of the brave soldiers who passed: Capt. Cody Khork, who was 35, Sgt. Noah Tietjens, 42, Sgt. Nicole Amor, 39, and Sgt. Declan Coady, a mere 20 years of age.

Lt. Gen. Robert Harter, commander of the US Army Reserve Command, expressed sympathy to the bereaved families, promising that the military remains dedicated to treasuring the memories of these heroic individuals and standing by their families through this heart-wrenching time.
