Victoria Jones, daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, found dead at California hotel at 34
Victoria Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of acclaimed actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead early on New Year’s Day at a luxury hotel in San Francisco, California, according to multiple news reports.
Emergency responders were called to the Fairmont San Francisco hotel at around 2:52 a.m. local time on January 1, 2026, following a medical emergency. Paramedics assessed Jones and pronounced her deceased at the scene. The San Francisco Fire Department and Police Department confirmed their involvement in the response, while the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later identified her.
At this stage, authorities have not confirmed an official cause of death, though police have said foul play is not suspected. Initial reports and emergency dispatch audio have suggested circumstances consistent with a possible drug overdose, and terms indicating medical distress such as “color change” were noted in 911 communication obtained by media outlets. An official determination will come after further investigation by the medical examiner.
Victoria was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley. In addition to her connection to her father, she pursued some acting work in her early years, appearing in projects like Men in Black II (2002) and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005), both linked to her father’s work, as well as a guest role on the television series One Tree Hill.
Jones had also faced legal troubles in 2025, including arrests related to drug possession, substance use, and other misdemeanor charges in Northern California, court records and reports indicate. Those cases were ongoing at the time of her death.
