The heir to the throne also shared his and his wife’s experience working in the medical field and highlighted the value of teamwork. “I wrote about working in emergency services, and Kate wrote about our recent experience in healthcare. The couple also visited a therapeutic gym and an arts room for neurorehabilitation patients. The medical facility is funded by the charitable organization NHS Charities Together. The hospital visit marked the royal couple’s first public engagement of 2026.

Two years ago, Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer following abdominal surgery. She underwent chemotherapy at a specialized NHS oncology clinic in Sutton.
