At 39, Charity was on the brink – her weight had reached a catastrophic 350 kilograms. But , as she herself admits , this was not the worst thing .
What was even more frightening was that she had drawn by her own daughter into her food addiction. The girl is only 19, but she already weighs 150 kilograms, is completely dependent and needs constant help .
Charity’s husband, Tommy, didn’t see a problem with this. He was one of those people who was attracted to women with extreme weight. He didn’t just put up with his wife’s situation – he enjoyed caring for her.
Tommy met Charity on a dating site, came to her house… and stayed forever. He was there when she could not longer walk, when she could no longer take a bath on her own , when even going to the toilet became impossible without outside help. He and their daughters shared care for her.
But one day Charity looked at her daughter and realized that she was not raising a person, but a person who would repeat her mistakes.
From this moment on, a long and difficult struggle began. Charity agreed to be hospitalized. Over the course of two months in the hospital, she underwent a full examination, learned basic nutritional rules, received psychological support — and was able to lose the first 20 kilograms.
When her eight dropped to 290kg, doctors performed a stomach reduction surgery. A year later , Charity had lost 120 kg, and a year later , all 200. Her weight stabilized at 150 kg.
Now mother and daughter are going through therapy together, learning to take care of themselves, finding joy in movement and freedom, and not in food.
