Can You Solve This IQ Puzzle? Only Smart Thinkers Will Get It Right!

Posted on October 24, 2026

Are you ready to test your brain with a fun and tricky IQ puzzle?

At first glance, this math challenge looks easy, but there is a small detail that can change your final answer.

Look carefully at the pictures, follow the rules, and see if you can solve the puzzle before reading the explanation.

Let’s start with the first equation.

Three pairs of earbuds add up to 30.

Since all three pairs look the same, we can divide 30 by 3.

Therefore, one pair of earbuds is worth 10.

Now, let’s move to the second equation.

One person plus another person plus one pair of earbuds equals 20.

We already know that one pair of earbuds is worth 10.

So, we subtract 10 from 20, leaving 10 for the two people.

Dividing 10 by 2 gives us 5.

This means that one person is worth 5.

Are you still following along?

Great!

Now, let’s solve the third equation.

Two watches plus two watches plus one person equal 13.

Remember, each person is worth 5.

Subtract 5 from 13, and we get 8.

The two groups of watches must therefore add up to 8.

Since both groups look identical, each group is worth 4.

But wait!

Each group contains two watches, not just one.

This means that one watch is worth 2.

So far, we have three important values.

One pair of earbuds is worth 10.

One person is worth 5.

One watch is worth 2.

Now comes the tricky part!

Look closely at the final equation.

It shows one earbud, one person, and one watch.

However, there is something different about the earbud.

The earlier equations show a pair of earbuds, while the final equation shows only one earbud.

Therefore, we must divide the value of a pair by 2.

One earbud is worth 5.

The person is still worth 5, and the single watch is still worth 2.

But don’t rush to add these numbers together!

There is one final rule to remember.

In mathematics, multiplication must be performed before addition.

This means we must multiply the value of the person by the value of the watch first.

Five multiplied by two equals 10.

Then, we add the value of the single earbud.

Five plus 10 equals 15.

And there you have it!

The correct answer is 15.

The secret to solving this puzzle is to pay attention to the small differences
